REDEFINING
TRANSFORMATION

FEATURED PROJECT

Stuyvesant Dairy Farm Conversion

The Stuyvesant Dairy Farm renovation in upstate New York is a testament to blending heritage with modernity, emphasizing preservation, sustainability, and aesthetic appeal. Key elements include the eco-conscious conversion of a historic milk barn into a luxurious living space, complemented by geothermal systems and a two-tier ipe deck offering stunning views. The project also introduced a new electrical service and septic system, enhancing efficiency and sustainability. This transformation showcases the seamless integration of traditional charm and contemporary comforts, setting a benchmark for thoughtful and sustainable redevelopment of historic properties.

SCOPE OF PROJECT

PROJECT MISSION

"Our mission was to redefine the essence of transformation, with a steadfast commitment to reusing materials and upholding sustainability at the forefront of our work. In this project, we succeeded in creating spaces that stand out not only for their innovative design and functionality but also for their minimal environmental footprint. By weaving historical elements with contemporary innovations, we crafted environments that narrate a story of both heritage and progress, offering an unparalleled experience that is as mindful as it is unique. Through this endeavor, we transcended the traditional confines of design, ensuring that every space we revitalized became a testament to our dedication to creativity, sustainability, and the celebration of distinctiveness."

MAIN HOUSE DEMOLITION + REIMAGINING

The original main house was completely dismantled, leaving no trace of its former presence. This decisive action paved the way for new developments and redefined the landscape of the property.

COTTAGE TRANSFORMATION

The cottage underwent a comprehensive renovation, mirroring the milk barn's charm. The updates included new plumbing, electrical systems, and spray foam insulation, ensuring the entire structure from walls to ceiling was modernized. The installation of 5-inch white oak flooring throughout and the addition of a welcoming deck with a front porch transformed the cottage into an inviting guest house.

HORSE BARN REVITALIZATION

The property's horse barn, equipped with five stables, received significant upgrades to enhance its functionality and storage capabilities, catering specifically to the needs of the animals housed within.

MILK BARN CONVERSION TO LIVING SPACE

The milk barn, along with its attached run-in barn, was meticulously restored to its studs while preserving the original beams. The introduction of a geothermal heating and cooling system, alongside comprehensive plumbing and electrical updates, transformed this structure. The renovation included leveling the floors, walls, and windows, diverging from the original 1800s architecture, and resulted in a spacious living area of over 2,500 square feet, complete with four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a kitchen, a living room, and a gym.

OUTDOOR ENHANCEMENTS

+ ECO-FRIENDLY FEATURES

The project's eco-conscious ethos was evident in the geothermal systems and standing seam metal roofs installed across all structures. The extension of the driveway and the addition of a new 900-amp electrical service, executed by our in-house excavation team, were significant infrastructural upgrades. The property's septic system was completely overhauled, and a new commercial-grade water well system was installed, ensuring sustainability and self-sufficiency.

THOUGHTFUL EXTERIOR SPACES

The exterior spaces were thoughtfully designed, with a two-tier ipe deck featuring a custom wire rail system, providing stunning views of the property and enhancing the overall aesthetic appeal and functionality of the outdoor living areas.
